I am a founding member of the improvising Trio, The Dyad, and co-founder of Skoogmusic, www.skoogmusic.com. Skoogmusic designs and manufactures new musical devices for niche and volume applications. I am a jazz musician who is interested in understanding music making, communicating and, on a broader scale, the practicalities of being human. I engage in research on 'how' we move, and employ this understanding in an interactive cycle of technological development and analysis to develop technology, creative performance and academic understanding in a dialogue between research science and human performance, with particular focus on music and the visual arts. |
